KUALA LUMPUR: Popular travel booking site Booking.com has denied claims that a glitch in its system resulted in a KL hotel being overbooked, leaving more than 20 guests stranded on Friday.
A spokesperson from the online booking portal clarified that a thorough investigation showed that its system was not at fault.“We can confirm with 100 per cent certainty that there was no glitch in Booking.com’s system.
“We have thoroughly investigated the change (update) reports for the hotel’s listing and can clearly see the date and time that the hotel made the changes to their inventory and rates that led to this unfortunate overbooking situation,” said the spokesman in an email to the New Straits Times.
