Larks in Transit is a compendium of travellers’ tales and the general shenanigans of twenty years as a travelling comedian. With musical virtuosity, surreal tangents and trademark intelligence, Bill Bailey tackles politics, philosophy, the pursuit of happiness, death metal, ringtones… and an excruciating encounter with Paul McCartney. Two decades of life as a comic filtered through what the Daily Telegraph calls ‘the brainiest comic ofhis generation’.

BIOGRAPHY
Bill Bailey is a British comedian, musician and actor most well-known for fusing music, jokes and theatricality on stage. Raised in the West Country, there’s plenty more to Bailey than just stand-up, with scene-stealing roles as Manny in Black Books, and as twin detectives in Hot Fuzz, appearances on quiz shows Never Mind the Buzzcocks and QI, and several documentaries under his belt. He’s also dabbled in music too, producing his own album Bill Bailey in Metal, and headlining at Sonisphere music festival in the UK, with a hastily put together band, as well as his on-stage musical antics during stand-up gigs.
With so much to draw on, audience members are sure of a great show, with plenty of Bailey’s signature tangents and trademark intelligence on display throughout the night.
